book review!!!

The Opposite of a Comfort Read If you’re looking for a book that wraps things up neatly, this isn’t it. Through the Flesh is messy, intense, and deeply human. Gold’s journey through privilege, collapse, and survival is told with a voice that refuses to be quieted. What I appreciated most was how personal it felt. It’s like being let into someone’s private diary, except the pages are soaked in equal parts pain and defiance. It’s not about teaching a lesson — it’s about telling the truth.
